"Although the measurement range is -50C to 300C, the display is limited to a maximum 100C. My plan was to measure oil temperature in the frying pan, so this is not the device I was looking for. The sensor is hard to open. My guess is that this part will break off sooner or later."

"This thermometer is a great gadget. It works well, very easy to clean, and it is magnetic so it sticks to side of fridge while I am using it and then to side of drawer (metal drawers) when I put it away. I hope it lasts a long time! I use it for my gluten-free bread baking and it has really helped"
