    No, the INT-11I-B is not suitable for use in pressure cooker or microwave oven. During use, make sure that the probe is inserted into the center of the food and is deep enough to exceed the safe cooking line.

    Is the base waterproof?

    No, the base isn't waterproof. Do not rinse or submerge it in water. If you need to clean it, just use a slightly damp cloth to wipe it down, preventing water from seeping.

    Does the base have to be around the probe when used?

    Yes, the base features a Bluetooth signal relay function. To get the best performance, keep the base within 32.8 feet / 10 meters of the probe. If you need to monitor temperature from a greater distance, just use the INKBIRD app.

    Please allow a longer 'remain on time' in the app settings.

    "It would be nice if it didn't fully shut down after just 10 mins of inactivity, because then you have to hold the button down for 4s to turn it back on again. I use mine to monitor the temperature of sourdough starter in a jar over several hours. I wish Inkbird would allow in the app the ability to extend the shut-down period to a say an hour in the settings rather than just 10 mins."

    Great little thermometer

    "I’ve used it a few times. Smoking my pork shoulder in my pellet smoker allowed me to keep a good eye on the temperature. I usually smoke my pork shoulder to about 205 and then let it rest. This probe got me there without hassle"

    "I purchased 3 of these for smaller cuts of meat and especially fish that we grill. They worked well, as they were supposed to do. No complaints & I will continue to use them. Wish they had WiFi capabilities in addition to Bluetooth."

    "I purchased this shorter meat probe for smaller meats to use on only. The longer probes are for the Roast type large meats, so they each have their own thing going on. When you can get these meat temp probes on sale is when it's so much better which I did."

    Good, but. . . . .

    "Still learning how to use this properly, so maybe the mistakes are mine. Had delete and re-download the program to get it to work with my iPhone. A few days later I used it on a lamb roast, and i had trouble keeping the program running. I finally was able to get it reading the roast temperature, and when I pulled the roast at the right temperature, I found it to be slightly underdone after resting. I'm going to have to test the probe using ice water and 160F water (using my reliable Thermoworks thermometer)."
