    What's the difference between ITC-308 and ITC-308S?

    First, the ITC-308 has a WiFi version, but the ITC-308S does not. Second, the probe of the 308 is not removable, while the probe of the 308S is plug-in, which is easy to replace.

    Is the INKBIRD ITC-308 waterproof?

    The probe is IP68 waterproof, but the body and socket are not. If used in a humid place, it is recommended to choose an aquarium probe, or use a silicone sleeve to protect the probe and the interface with the cable.

    Do INKBIRD products need to be calibrated?

    The INKBIRD controllers are factory-calibrated. The probes are subject to wear and tear during use, which may cause deviations in the readings.

    If I lose/regain power, will the ITC-308 resume the previous settings?

    Yes, your settings will be saved permanently. However, if the device loses power, we recommend that you check the device settings after powering it back on.

    "Seems to work ok. It reads about 5 degrees warmer than 2 thermometers I used to test the temp (they agreed within a degree of or 2). Still holds within the needed temp range. Could see lots of possibilities for other uses. Quality seems good, was cheaper than anything else I found that had the necessary settings. Tooka bit to get the settings right - don't know if it was a direction issue or my misunderstanding - took about 20 minutes."

    "Had trouble with the controller overshooting the desired temperature by more than 4-5 degrees in either direction. I adjusted the settings as close as I could get them and still overshot. Put a full fermenter inside and now it holds temp within a degree or two so I'm breathing a sigh of relief"

    great for 36 hour crockpot potroast

    "ran a 36 hour chuck potroast in a cheap simple small crock pot at 140 degrees F with best results ever. dropped in the probe through the lid after removing the handle knob. unlike my sousvide, this was completely quiet and no plastic bags needed! Love the programming - simple, and the only setting I needed to change was the temperature, this is the first setting. so, very user friendly. Remember to hold the set button for three seconds before and AFTER setting your temperature. Many more uses for this controller already planned :)"
