What is the purpose of the dual-screen display?

It's all about convenience! The top screen is easy to read when it's sitting flat on your counter, like when you're monitoring oil in a pot. The other screen is on the side, so you can see the temperature clearly while you're holding it to check a steak or roast.

How accurate is the IHT-51K thermometer?

The high-precision K-type sensor delivers an accuracy of up to ±0.5°F (±0.3°C). It also comes calibrated from the factory, so it's ready to go right out of the box.

The probe is very thin and seems delicate. Is it durable?

Yes, it's more durable than it looks. The 1.8mm probe is made of sturdy stainless steel, and is built to be slender so it doesn't leave big holes in your food, but it's still tough enough for daily kitchen use.

Can I wash the whole unit?

Absolutely! The IHT-51K has an IP65 waterproof rating, which means the entire unit, including the probe and the body, can be rinsed under the tap. The only thing to avoid is leaving it fully submerged for a long time or using high-pressure water.

How long does the battery last on a full charge?

On a full 2-hour charge, it will last for several weeks or even months of regular home use, depending on frequency.
